Question about 2000 Chrysler Concorde
An EGR Valve is an Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve that is located on the intale manifold. Has vacuum line attached to top of it going to the plenum/intake vacuum connection on manifold.
An IAC is an idle air control valve that is usually connected to the intake manifold and fuel system/ This controls your idle speed whether idling or running.
The EGR valve takes your exhaust gases from the motor and recirculates them so that your motor won't blow up due to excess gases in the motor from combustion.
Both will make your car run bad if they are not opreative and in good working condition.

The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve adjusts the engine idle speed. The valve is located on the side of the throttle body. The valve is controlled by a duty cycle signal from the PCM and allows air to bypass the throttle plate in order to maintain the proper idle speed.
Do not attempt to clean the IAC valve. Carburetor tune-up cleaners or any type of solvent cleaners will damage the internal components of the valve.
