07 subaru legacy can't find the antenna

My 07 legacy has an after market stereo, but the antenna is not hooked up. So I pulled the stereo out and still cant seem to locate the antenna connection. As i haved investigated on on i-net, the connector for this car is a square connector, not the traditional round co-axial style. But upon searching for this connector I have no idea where the antenna is even located on this car.. please help.

Hiya,

Here you go:

2.5L Engine To Remove:

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner housing.
  3. Vehicles with 5-spd transmission: Remove the clutch slave cylinder and set aside.
  4. Disconnect the knock sensor wire harness retainer from the coolant hose.
  5. Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) wire connector.
  6. Remove the mounting bolt and knock sensor from the engine block.

SOURCE: Subaru Legacy 98' Outback Legacy won't start when hot

I have the same car - same problem. Too hot or too cold and then just another once and while for good measure :(
I've had the battery checked and is good. Is it likely to be the starter?

SOURCE: location knock sensor

The knock sensor is located on the top of the engine block almost hidden from view by the intake manifold. It is almost directly below the spot where your throttle cable connects. It will have a bolt running right through the middle of it and a single wire coming out of it.
