SOURCE: windshield wipers

You might have a stripped wiper arm spline. Check it by seeing if it moves with your hand. Also check wiper arm connection under the black plastic unscrew and remove black plastic.

SOURCE: oNE WINDSHILD wiper works the other one doesn't

There most likely is a nut at the base if the wiper arm, nearest to the cowl/windshield, that is loose. Grab a cressant wrench and attack.
Lefty loosey, righty tighty.....:-)

As I was driving my 92 Dodge Dakota with the wipers on, I heard a sound and they stopped moving. I can hear the motor running. Do you have a suggestion for this and what parts might be needed to fix it?

had the same problem with mine all you need is a windshild wiper bushing it bout 5 to 10 $ at auto zone there are about 2 or 3 bushing that may need replacing mine was simplest one the one on the motor its easy it justs snaps onthe motor arm and than to the arms of the windshild transmistion

wiper motor boards go bad in those motor assemblies. You can replace just the board in most applications.
