SOURCE: V50 hood/bonnet release
if your car is new branded buy, than go to your service center or if having no warranty time than do again with some lubrication at that pin to open bonet from lubrication nozle.

Loo between both light in the long **** shape gap just below where the bonnet is. If you look to the right, you should see a black cable hanging down. If not the it has snapped away, but if you can. Here is what you can to to open the bonnet. Use a long pair of plires and gab the cable. When you have a good grip, pull the cable firmly to the right (passenger side light). This should open the bonnet. It has worked for me....
Hope this helps

the bonnet is held down with a spring thats constantly under tension. to get the bonnet open you have to remove one side of the tension where the spring connects to the slam panel. put your hand in the grille and feel for where the spring goes into the slam panel, and use something like a tyre lever put through the grille hole to pop the spring away from the slam panel, thus releasing the tension. you should be able to just pull the bonnet up. my corsa has just done the same thing and this is the only way i could get into it.

I have a 2005 Renaultsports Megane 225 and need to open my bonnet to charge battery. Tried pulling on the lever inside the car but cant get the bonnet to even pop up. I have pulled on the outside lever within the grill, but to no luck.
Can anyone suggest a way of opening my bonnet...?
