Question about 1997 Buick LeSabre
Can anyone explain why its so hard to find power steering pump on this car?
GM wanted to see how many tatoos they could cause. It's located on the passenger side close to the firewall. There are two heater hoses just above it so be careful if checking the level when hot. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: locating the power steering pump
Depending on your engine will make a difference
Just follow the power steering lines that come from the steering rack & pinion to the pump

The power steering reservoir will be on the left side (near the passenger front wheel) behind the coolant reservoir. It's a black tank with orange lettering on the cap. If you follow the hoses off of it, they'll lead you directly to the pump.
