Question about 1994 Acura Legend

Installing new low and high beam bulbs to my 94 legend gs

I have purchased new sylvania silverstar ultras 9005/9006 for my car. I have no idea how to install without touching bulb or screwing it up. They were expensive and I cannot afford to pay to have it done.  Any advise or instruction would be helpful. Thanks.

If you cant get behind the headlight with your hand / you may need to take out the headlights then put them in but be careful most cars that you take the headlights out you must pull the bumper off / if you have to take the bumper off thentheir are retainers up top and on the bottom of vehicle also on the fenders there is a bolt to pull of bumper

The low beams on my pilot are blowing, if that makes sense. My high beams will work fine, Ive had to replace the bulbs more frequently than I know I should have to. Do I need a specific bulb or a higher...

This was a fairly common problem for older cars. It was usually caused by a bad voltage regulator, that allowed the voltage to get too high. I recently fixed the same problem on a 1986 Dodge.
I haven't heard of this on newer cars. The newer cars have electronics can be very sensitive to voltage spikes.

Anyway, I still suspect that the high voltage is the problem. You can have the voltage checked, but it may be intermitent. Most modern charging systems have the voltage regulator integrated in the alternator. An alternator can be pretty expensive to replace, just to try it out. You could have the alternator checked at an auto parts store. Or you may have to have it checked by a auto tech/dealer.

Another possibility is the type of bulb you are using. I replaced the bulbs on my Escape with Sylvania Silverstars. I blow them pretty regular; every 6mos or so. This is fairly common with high output headlamps.

2002 nissan xterra headlight is aiming up too high

on each headlamp assembly, there will be either one or two plastic nuts that you can turn.

If you only have one nut on each, that will adjust the vertical aim of the headlights.

If you have two nuts on each, one will adjust the vertical and the other will adjust the horizontal.

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

MY 1990 NISSAN HEADLAMP ON THE RIGTH SIDE ONLY WORK ON HIGH BEAM AND I CAN'T FIGEROUT WHY I WAS WORKING 2 DAYS AGO I GOT A NEW HEADLAMP FOR IT BUT STILL NO LUCK

I had a problem with bulbs in the 05 Altima I recently traded for my 07 Altima. The lows would stop working shortly after putting in a replacement bulb. You didn't say if you were using Nissan or aftermarket bulbs, but we found out that Nissans can have problems with aftermarket bulbs.

I was putting in Sylvania Silverstars, thinking I was putting in quality bulbs (which they worked just fine in the Taurus I traded for my first Altima. The Altima and those bulbs did not get along. I went through 3 sets (yes, that's 6 bulbs) in 3 months. We spoke with the parts manager at our dealership, whom we have an excellent relationship with, and before we even said what kind of bulbs we were using, he asked if they were Silverstars. Several other customers had had the same experience in different models (trucks, SUVs and cars). We purchased the OEM bulbs, which were the same price as the Silverstars, and never had another problem. Food for thought...
