Question about 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage
The hand brake switch located at the base of the hand brake works fine. That is, it switches on/off. There appears to be a short to ground somewher in the wiring? Any suggestions.
Try removing the switch and seeing if there is something stuck inside that is causing it to stay open. If not, you may want to replace it. I don't think it would be a bad ground since you would get no light to come on.
