Question about 2003 Honda Odyssey
I was away for the weekend and my factory installed audible alarm went off for no apparent reason. I was inside my mother in laws house and hit the unlock button on my remote- took me about 2 minutes to get it-the alarm stopped and I hit the lock button on remote- lights flashed letting me know it was locked.
I left later in the day and drove home - about 1.5 hr drive-when I got home my remote would not lock the vehicle- I had to use my other remote-it locks and unlocks vehicle but the alarm no longer sets.
I thought it might be a problem with the first remote battery so I started to change it- I was inside the house and the alarm went off - on the drive way.
The first remote still does not work even after trying to reset it as per directions on other feeds- key in - position II - push "lock" button - repeat 3 times- locks cycle to program mode-
So, I have one remote that won't unlock or lock the vehicle, but it will start it and I can drive without issue.
I have another remote which will lock and unlock the vehicle and start the car.
But... I seem to have NO audible alarm.
I have heard about a "valet/reset" button or switch but cannot locate it under the dash.
Have also heard about fuse # 13 for passenger door & alarm reset but have not tried that one yet.
Can you help at all or am I stuck going to pay a Honda tech to fix what should be a simple problem??
Thanks in advance.
I have a 2004 honda pilot. The passinger door and the back door behind the driver seat will not lock or unlock with remote or with door lock switch,What can I do to fix it?

You have to take it to the dealer and it will cost $280. I had my driver door die first...now the passenger behind the driver :-(

SOURCE: Car Alarm
sounds like the drivers side key switch has failed remove the interior door panel and there will be a switch attached to the back of the key lock cylinder or around there it should be two or three wires also check the door jamb wire harness where the door closes for any broken or damaged wires, use a vot meter and see if you get power or ground to the opposite side of the switch when you use the key to lock and unlock the door if nothing changes and there is power or ground! at this switch i would replace it, i don't think there is one but if the car has a passenger side key hole try to unlock the car from that side and see if you get the same problem -jeff

I have the same problem. The battery in the remote was replaced, still cannot operate lock. I can operate the balance of the door locks from the inside, except for the drivers side. I manual have to push or pull the door lock.
