SOURCE: what oil does 2005 kia amanti use

Depends on where you live in the country.  In TN where I live most people just use 10W30 all year, but if you live in a colder area you would use 10W30 in the summer and 5W30 in the winter.  Hope this helps.  Thanks for an honest rating.

SOURCE: will be replacing brakes on 04 kia amanti soon.

Yes be careful with the caliper pistons, make sure they do not fall out.
You must push them back into the cylinders in order to put new pads in.
Thats now out of the way, Just be sure to lube up the sliding pins on the calipers. if you are replacing rotors be careful of the brake lines when you remove the caliper and to hang the caliper with a wire hanger or caliper hanger if you have one to not stress the brake lines

SOURCE: replacing my headlight bulb in my kia amanit 2004

  1. Open the hood of your KIA Amanti and look behind the headlight that has gone out. Locate the round knob on the back of the headlight.
  2. Turn the knob counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn and gently remove it from the back of the headlight. Carefully remove the electrical cable within the headlight housing that is attached to the back of the headlight bulb.
  3. Locate the metal clip that holds the light bulb in place by pushing the clip arm straight in and sliding it down. Remove the bulb from the headlight housing.
  4. Replace the old headlight bulb with new bulb. Secure it by sliding the metal clip up to hold the bulb in place. Reattach the electrical cable and replace the round knob to the back of the headlight housing.
  5. Turn on the headlights to verify that they are in working order.

SOURCE: I own a 04 Kia Amanti and the six cylinder is

I have a 2004 Kia Amanti, the air bag light is on and has been on for some time now.I have taken it to Kia; they put it on the computer and could not determine why it came on. They reset it and no sooner I got home it came back on. Now, my check engine light came on 2 days ago, it does not accelerate properly and if I push the accelerator to the floor the car starts jumping. Thank goodness I was still near my home, when this happened, I went back home and have not driven since. What could be the cause of these issues?

2006 hyandai sonata, does it have greese fittings

Often mysterious squeaks are from dry torsion bars bushings. There are two of them mounted to the engine "sub frame." My wife's Ford Focus has this issue as well. It squeaks when driving ove rthe curb onto the driveway. The solution is to unbolt the two hold-down clamps that secure the torsion bar to the subframe then apply soime silicone grease inside the rubber bushing so that the rubber will no longer "grab" when the torsion bar moves.

the squeaks will be dry rubber bushings. Use some wd-40 and squirt one bush at a time to find the squeak and replace that one or re-tension the nuts or bolts. could be the sway bar bushes.

2002 chrylser concorde subframe bushings

It is not the torque it is the type of grease used when installed. Squeaks and creaks typically say they are dry, I found some stuff from that works very well.

Rear end rattle on rough roads

Check that the rear section of the exhaust system has all the hanger brkts and supports fitted.
Check the rear shock absorber mounting rubbers / bushings.
If a rear anti-sway bar is fitted, check all the mounting points, links, and rubber mountings/bushings.

Have a 05 sebring sedan. front end squeaks in the suspension when it gets warm. have replaced everything in the the last year. what else could it be.

Usually squeaks are rubber bushings that need liquid soap lubrication. The anti-roll bar bushings and end links are common sources. So is the lower arm bushings that work with the strut assembly. Suggest getting under the car while someone pushes down on the front end to get it squeaking. Good luck!

My cable battery bracket has just broken(sheared in 2 pieces)--how can I fix this so my car can start?

Put up the hood and hold the cable closed on the terminal with a pair of pliers. once the car starts it should run fine without the pliers as long as the charging system is working correctly. Then drive to a parts store and replace the cable.

Squeak in front end

Okay....I have been working on my boss' car for a week with this SAME issue....first....try to figure out the spot it is coming from. This part is the pain. Second, have a can of WD-40 and spray it into any joint you find. This squeek could be from an upper bushing, a lower bushing, an A arm bushing, or any other bushing on that start out with this method first because it will only cost you a few dollars, or free if you have it already. But do one at a time till you find it. Then, you'll know what item to replace.
