A sensor for the indicators? Maybe on a late model car there may be such gimmickry, but I would say for cars of older vintage, it's always check fuses first, bulbs second, check for power from fuse panel going into turn signal switch, and power out. If something seems amiss, suspect the turn signal switch. From that switch, the indicator signal will go to the flasher relay, where it's broken into a repeating signal of short bursts of power (it's broken into blinks!), and from there it travels to bulbs, front and rear, causing them to blink. As long as the ground is good, that is, and very unlikely you would lose grounds on both front and rear of car at same time.
See? It's really pretty simple. Helps to have a voltmeter, or test light at least. And watch for some cars having the hazard lights wired up with the turns. Sometimes a defect in one switch will affect the other.
Good luck.

Why do the indicators and hazard lights not work on my 1974 beetle? I've checked all fuses. Could it be the headlight relay?

Often the fuses look good but do not pass current or become corroded at the contact fingers.

Obtain a 12 volt test lamp to check for power across both sides of the fuse/s.

Check the wire has not pulled off the fuse block male terminals..

If there is power at the switch under the hood side then it is possible the flasher relay is bad. Sometimes the emergency 4 way switch goes bad too.

there are 4 steps to check and you've mentioned all but one the relay which cuts the fan on'off. At an elec shop you check in this order power to fuse block, fuse & output side, temp sensor, relay, and fan motors. Get a new relay

Why doesnt my transmission make shifts speedomiter

First check the 10 amp fuse #1.

If fuse is good, speed sensor has failed or is disconnected. Check connection. If connection is good, replace sensor.

Sensor is mounted on transaxle output. It should have a 3-wire connector on it with one yellow, one orange, and one black wire, as shown in diagram below.
