Question about 2005 Honda Accord

1 Answer

2005 honda accord could not start

My 2005 honda accord has a problem. I could not start the car after two-day's stay in the parking lot. After jump start, I drove it out. But after several miles, the engine just stopped on the road. And I could not start the engine again. The problem happened twice today. Before this, I jump started my car twice because I could not start it. I want to know if it is the battery or something else. Thanks.

My daughter's Camry did the same thing. Odds are the battery is shot. Pull it out and take it by a parts store to get it tested. Her's showed a bad cell and once a new one was put in, the problem went away.

Car wont stay started unless foot on gas pedal

This could be a lot of things. IT could be the injectors or the fuel pump pressure, it could be the air intake, vacuum leak, etc.

If the car died after being jumpstarted, then the alternator isn't making enough charge to keep the car running. Pull it and have it tested at autozone. They do it for free.

Your speed sensor may cause other problems like not shiftig all gears, if the car acts like it is cutting of, check for proper fuel pressure, air intake firlter, spark plugs, throthle positioner sensor, idle motor.

My 98 honda v6, parked on incline now won't start

I think the incline is not the cause; it sounds very much like a battery down from some (possibly interior) light having been on during its downtime. I suggest a jump to see if it is only nothing more mysterious than a depleted battery.

Honda accord hybrid 2005 won't start in cold weather

Sounds like a fuse for the DC-DC convertor to battery circut or the DC-DC convertor. Check the fuses under the hood but DO NOT attempt to fix the convertor yourself because there are LETHAL amouts of voltage in the hybrid drive system.

Car wouldn't start, bought new battery, still won't start.

it sounds like the battery was drained again but this one should be under warranty.Get it running again and look into those cutoff switches that automatically shut the lights.Until then.be extra careful, maybe even leave yourself a note on the drivers door to
'shut the lights'.
