Hum for about 1.5 seconds, then chump? From rear? Fuel pump?
No solenoid click, no starter whine. After car sits for a few minutes to a few hrs, it starts like no problem?

That sounds like you may need to replace the starter. the click you hear is the solenoid. the part that is just as important is the starter motor. unfortunately they are sold as one

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima GLE, engine was replaced with a 1998 SE engine. Since then, I have been having problems starting. I get a boost and once I move the car and park it, it won't start again....

there is a problem with your iginition timing. it is most probably overly advanced. have an experienced mechanic check your ignition timing. the mechanic should check the distributor, camshaft, and crankshaft timings.

Can't really say. But you need to put a fuel pressure gauge on it.
Could be EGR, throttle position sensor, etc., but don't see how the starter could be related.
Have to wonder if you left a wire off or put one in the wrong place.
The main power for the fuel injection and ignition come off the main starter positive. And a cold start wire comes off the starter solenoid.

Will not start

It could be a timing belt issue, or your starter is no good... taking too much power.

Primary ignition fault. Reasons: Bad distributor cap (most likely) or ignition control module/ignition coil.
Hope that helps

Every 30,000 miles you need an air filter, every 60,000 a fuel filter, every 100,000 spark plugs. That's it.
