Where each fuse box is located and which is which?
I bought a 90 Celica 2 weeks ago...installing stereo but no guide as to wiring codes...suspect I'ma victim of someone elses "handiwork"...Cannot locate all fuse boxes and wondering which one, if any is the specific link for car audio.....need to check all fuses too.
unfamiliar with celica set ups...any help would be greatly appreciated.
At least one of fuse box covers is missing too....so that guide is out the window...

Check the sensor ring on the column that's around the cylinder for a bad wire and check the receiver plug and antenna also check your key if it has a battery and the fuse for the pats system download the manual from ford owners. Com and go to roadside emergencies and your fuse box diagrams are in there and the fuse values and relay locations something is loose or corroded clean all associated with the pats system and write everything down that you did so things can be ruled out also check the column wire connections all the way down to the floor
Sharon, In the downloadable manual pg.226-228 for your car the fuses for power windows are shown to be, fuse 24 in engine compartment fuse box and fuse #39 in the instrument panel fuse box location. Check the attached link, manual, instruction and guide, Good luck

There are 2 fuses for the stereo. One is constant power and the other is switched by the ignition but they both show constant power at the fuse. Seems odd but thats what I got. One is located in slot 24 with a 15 amp fuse. It's the 6th one to the right on the top row. The other is located in the fuse box under the hood. It is the second to last fuse in the bottom row. It should have a 25 amp fuse. If you are using an after market stereo, you should also have a fuse on one or both your red and yellow wires and usually one on the back of the unit.
Red is power to from ignition to cd deck Yellow is direct power from battery to cd deck to hold the memory. Black is ground Blue is only needed if you are hooking up an amplifier. I always suggest buying a wire harness quick connect system for $5, then you won't have to cut origional car wiring. If by chance you are taking the original wire route, then go to installer.com to find which wires on the car are for what.
here is the radio's wire color diagram, u should be able to fix the problem with this info.Fuse box is on drivers side under the dash. 1991 Ford Tempo Car Radio Wiring Guide
