My 2.0 tiburon cranks, but will not idle or run.No fault codes show up on my scanner.I have fuel pressure at the injectors, spark plugs and coil are firing.I have checked the crankshaft sensor, cam shaft sensor, spark plugs and wires, fuses, relays and the battery is good.I have also checked the timing belt,it has very little wear. I am at a loss on this one and I was hoping that someone has run into this before.Any help will be appreciated.

Code P0170 indicates a bank 1 fuel trim problem. Probable causes:
1. Faulty sensor or solenoid
2. Control unit software needs updating
3. Faulty PCM or ECM
4. Fuel pressure problem. Check pump, regulator, filter, and lines
Check audibly the fuel pump. It will run for 3 seconds when ignition is turned on, but engine not started. If it makes noise, you could check for pressue at the fuel rail. There is normally a schrader valve you can press. Tske care, fuel under pressure will come out when pump is ok.
if ok, check for eventual fault codes with scanner.
could be crank sensor.
Code 12 means you are in test mode, code 34 is a problem with the map sensor, and code 35 is a problem with the idle control valve. But those two codes could show up if you disconnect those sensors or if the engine is having other problems. In situations where the engine stalls, it is very easy to overlook something or assume a component is working. Treat it like a no start. Pull a plug wire and watch the spark as the engine dies. Use carb cleaner or starting fluid to boost fuel supply. You'll have to figure out if it is loosing spark or fuel to proceed. Things like the coil, the stator in the bottom of the dist, or a relay can be the cause. Even low fuel pressure.
and transmission in this cars drive train are fully
electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train
Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer
stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions
to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and
MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory,
to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned
with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must
perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the

so ur saying that a scanner says that a map sensor code is present anyway if it shows a code for it then it is surely got one lol at a parts center like advaced auto or dealer and it causes the car to idle rough not take fuel properly and fuel either too lean or too ritch etc.....
my 2002 ford f150 4.2 would not hold idle so we changed the fuel pump and fuel filter and relay now the truck starts holds idle runs good at low rpm but when i stomp it it runs then stalls and picks up again.
CODE DTC PO175 - FUEL TRIM MALFUNCTION SYSTEM TOO RICH BANK 2.**** POSSIBLE CAUSES BASE ENGINE MECHANICAL FAULT AFFECTING ONE OR MORE CYLINDERS **** EXCESS FUEL VAPORS IN CRANKCASE THE OIL NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.***** EVAP SYSTEM COMPONENT HAS FAILED OR CANISTER FUEL SATURATED.**** FUEL CONTROL SENSOR IS OUT OF CALIBRATION ECT IAT OR MAF.**** FUEL DELIVERY SUPPLYING TOO MUCH FUEL DURING CRUISE OR IDLE PERIODS FAULTY FUEL PUMP OR FAULTY PRESSURE REGULATOR .***** FUEL INJECTORS IS LEAKING OR STUCK PARTIALLY OPEN ONE OR MORE.**** HO2S IS CONTAMINATED DETERIORATED OR IT HAS FAILED.TO SAVE TIME MONEY HAVE VECHICLE SCANNED AND HAVE FUEL PRESSURE CHECKED IT SHOULD BE 43 PSI. have light turned off with scanner, or drive it a few miles to see if it goes off. just because the sensors have been changed the pcm thinks there is still a problem and keeps light on. turn off with scanner.
