SOURCE: 1993 celica clutch change

It's easier to remove the engine if your doing it on the ground but you can remove the far motor mount and tilt it to get the tranny out However it will be a very tight and difficult fit I don't recommend taking on this project if you are not absolutely sure of what you are doing.

SOURCE: mazda 121 manual gear box stuck in gear

What do you mean "rooted" ?
Generally if a manual transmission is stuck in gear it points to one or several of 6 possibilities ( barring any damage to hard parts such as gears or shafts.)
1: Damaged shift linkage.
2: Worn clutch.
3: Faulty clutch slave cylinder.
4: Damaged fork assembly.
5: Damaged synchronizers.
6: Bad throwout bearing.

Be prepared for sticker shock when pricing repairs or parts !
Mazdas are not cheap to buy parts for or to work on.
( thats why I will never own one )

SOURCE: 1993 mazda 626: could not get trans out of park!

Ignition lock is activated: You over rode it but still have original problem. Alarm system might be confused. SO....

1 disconnect battery negative (-) cable(make you have radio code if any) to reactivate radio, which works anyway if code was never set.

2 press brake peddle for 5 seconds

3 reconnect negative cable to battery.

use key and twist diver door lock to OPEN (this resets alarm which might have caused ignition lock module to activate.

You should be able to turn on the ignition, start the engine and shift out of park. Hope this helps.

Need to put in new cvs on a 95 model 121

its not to hard to replace. what you need to do is jack the front of the car up, unbolt the cv nut and the wheel hub and pull the cv out off the socket. it is an idea to drain the gearbox oil first. you may have to get a crawbar in to pull the cv out

Manual transmission

If the engine revs up when you let the clutch out and the car doesn't move then most likely your clutch is slipping and not bitting.
