Question about 1995 Subaru Legacy
For the past few weeks my car would occasionally hesitate going around 50-60 mph. Then recently it started to have very low idle and when coming to a stop. Never had problems before. The car has been consistently maintained, etc. I brought it to a mechanic that ran it up and down the freeway but couldn't duplicate the problem. Today when I was turning into my driveway the engine just died. It started up again but at a low idle
I understand you have maintained it properly, But often people seem to forget things like the Fuel filter. Another cause is vacuum leaks. If the car has a miss you might try a can of Seafoam through the fuel system. Cleans the system very nicely and improves fuel mileage. Hope this helps to return the Subbie to its dependable abilities. Good luck.
