Try taking out your O2 sensor and take it for a drive with out it in. if the power returns, you have a plugged cat converter

The car was running fine, it hesitated once, then about a half a mile later it began to have no power wnd when I gave it gas it would bog down. Then it died and would not start. I have got it to start...

it sounds like your fuel pump may have gone out disconnect the fuel line at the fuel filter or the fuel rail which ever is easier to get to, then try to start the car if fuel does not spray from the line you will know that it is the problem.

1986 accord when shifting, giving gas or less gas power shifts?

Jack car up. Hold the front wheel with both hands in the 3 and 9 poistion. Try and rock it towards you and away. If it is easy to move the wheel bearings need replaced.

Take it to an alignment garage and get the tracking/alignment sorted. Are the inner edges of the tires worn?

Push down on the wing hard to compress the suspension and release, if one side returns slowly, new shock or spring is needed. See if you can spot any cracked springs too.

The car had been sitting for a year or so.It started ok ,ran ok .

Sounds like the catalytic converter is stopped up.Try removing the converter and install a piece of test pipe and see if this does not cure the problem. If so you can then have the coverter replaced
