Re: Engine: 1994 ford aerostar,
Please see the diagram at http://6jonline.com/aerostar_oil.jpg. I have
included a picture of the engine with the oil fill cap and dipstick
labeled. To open the cap just turn it counter clockwise like your gas cap.

The vac modulator only assists the transmission in knowing when to shift up.
If the engine oil pressure gauge is acting wildly, it could be the sensor or the oil pressure could really be going up and down.
ok its that a gas or diesel truck if gas there is a fluid you can add to your engine its cald liffter quite or you can also use little marval oil add a little about half of qt drive for a while see if it works problem was litle trash stuck on it if that dont work then its a bad liffter or bad rocker cap let me know if any questions
Both the front seal and the rear gasket are fairly easy fix, But don't let anybody over torque the seal, You can add more oil, and let it sling all over the place, your car will never rust, the filler plug looks like a bolt with a square hole in it, the end of ratchet or breaker bar will fit it, 1/2 inch, you can fill it up there. Hope this helps.
Facing the engine from the front, with the cap on, the #1 slot is on the left hand side of the cap, the last one just before the clip, the distributor rotates clockwise. After #1 then 4,2,5,3,6, going clockwise.
You should see the dip stick on the Driver side under the hood.It will be the only black steel tube that comes up towards the hood. The oil is sometimes poured down the same tube or it will be in the drivers side valve cover..
