Question about 2002 Pontiac Montana
Drivers window on my 2003 Pontiac Montana goes down fine, goes up about 1/2 way and wants to stop. If you grab and help it will go up. It started slowing down in the last year but now I think the cold may have something to do with it? Any help or ideas would be welcome.
I had the same problem, It's been cold here and i just sprayed the window track with SILICON LUBRACANTS and that worked out well. DO NOT USE WD40 OR OIL BASE LUBRICANTS. They will eat away the rubber and make things worst.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU WINDOW REGULATOR HAS OR IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY ANYMORE. YOU CAN REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL INSIDE AND USE A LITTLE SPRAY LUBRICANT ON THE REGULATOR. IF YOU LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE THEY SALT THE ROADS DURING THE WINTER CORROSION IS PROBABLY THE CAUSE. THERE ARE A FEW PIVOT POINTS ON THE REGULATOR AND SOME TEETH AND SOME SLIDE TRACKS FOR THE GLASS. TRY CLEANING THESE. A WINDOW REGULATOR CAN BE HARD TO REPLACE. NOT MUCH SPACE TO MANIPULATE THE PART TO REMOVE AND REPLACE. GOOD LUCK.
