Question about 2003 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
Came off a stop sign and shifted into third and the car died. Coasted to a stop and tried to restart and it turned over but would not fire. All belt are fine. Was told to replace fuel pump in the sending unit. sending unit has no pump in it. Where's is the pump?
Does any one have a suggestions?
There should be one in the tank and a boost pump on the back of the cylinder head, you can hear the pump when you turn the key on (normally) also check your crank shaft signal, the low pressure pump should produce between 2.0 to 3.0 bar
