Question about 1996 Toyota Camry

1 Answer

I am having a hard time changing the tire on my 1996 toyota camry. Although I am still getting used to this car for only having it 3 months, I have changed tires on previous vehicles. I was able to get all the lug nuts off and as well as the rim, yet the tire wont pull off. There seems to be a circular disc in the middle of the tire? Does this have something to do with it? I have tried turning it and so forth with no luck. Any thoughts??

Toyota 1996 camry check engine light on, Steering hard, engine off itself.. any idea?

The first thing to find out is what trouble code the car's computer is storing. The check engine light tells you that there is a code available to enable you to home in on the trouble.
If the car will not move, follow the procedure in here, p296, by using a short bit of wire to connect terminals TE1 and E1 in Relay Block 5 under the hood.

Then look up the trouble code.

I have a 1996 Toyota Camry with 17' aftermarket wheels and tires on it. When i have people ride in the back seat my fenders rub my tires really bad. Do you think i need to change my struts, if not then how...

If anything, you need better rear springs. Springs support the suspension not the struts. Struts just keep ride smooth and stable. Get bigger/heavier duty rear springs.

I am wearing out front brake pads about every 2 months and hardly ever have to put back ones on. Toyota Camry 1996 It seems as if the back ones may not be working properly?

Well, the first thing that comes to mind, is to be careful of how you stop and accelerate in your vehicle. Take off slowly, and stop with plenty of room and without slamming on the breaks. No quick stops or take offs.

Being with that in mind, it might be time to have your front and rear end re-aligned. Which can usually be down at your local tire or brake service store.

Your other options are worn out Brake Calipers or faulty suspension.
