SOURCE: how to change oil transmission isuzu rodeo 2003

There are two drain plugs on the bottom of the pan. remove the lower one to drain the trans fluid. To refill, use a pump and pump the fluid into the upper drain plug until it seeps out and re-install the plug, similar to refilling a manual trans.
Once this is done, Start the vehicle and run it for about 3 minutes, shifting through all gears (do not drive vehicle Remove the upper drain plug and let any excess fluid drain out. Done. This is as per Mitchell OnDemand.

SOURCE: 2000 isuzu Rodeo wont start

Could be your neutral safety switch, or it's not all the way in park. Broken or loose wires in the starting circuit. Inspect all wires and connectors at the battery, starter solenoid, and ignition switch. Or your starter pinion is jammed in the ring gear. Remove starter and inspect. Last but not least, your engine is seized. You don't want that one. Good luck.

SOURCE: Crank Sensor in 94 Isuzu Rodeo

it's on the bottom of the motor, towards the back on the passenger side. It has a small clip of wires and one screw holding it on. You may want to pull it up on ramps- if it'll run- otherwise, get under the Rodeo, it's up a little higher than the oil pan, and to the passenger side. (it's right on top of the two lines that run to the bottom of the radiator.) You will need a 10mm socket to remove it. I have added a few pics showing the location (i just completed this task myself)

costs vary by a zillion factors.
taxes, rent, labor costs, insurance.
and if the parts are rusty. or related parts are destroy'd.
and if old parts have core value.
why ask here, we know NONE of this,
ask your mech. ask them, in your town.

Hearing ticking noise from my 1993 isuzu rodeo. Tried oil changes, additives etc. Need to know step by step instructions on replacing lifters.

I had same problem with 99 Isuzu Rodeo LS 3.2 V6. Dealer couldn't find it and many, many other owners experienced same thing. finally found a post where a mechanic (non dealer) changed the idle air control valve. so i tried it, and after 3 years of dealing with the problem, it worked!!! part costs about $40 and very, very easy to change yourself. for the 99, its located in front of engine, so easy access. Good Luck

I've tried to get someone to work on my rodeo for quite some time now. It needs a new water pump.. Everyone says it's too hard to change?

On a v6 engine the timing belt has to come off to replace the pump. While you are there you need to replace the belt and tensioner too. Not a job for a novice mechanic

I have a 1993 Isuzu rodeo and i need to know how to change the valve cover gasket.

Not too difficult of a repair. While is have not worked directly with the engine you need to start first by disconnecting the ground to the battery. From here examine your engine bay for what items you'll have to remove or move to gain access to the cover(s). I expect you may have to remove the alternator, spark plug wires, other electrical connectors and perhaps the plenum and throttle body. Take your time to note what goes where, take digital photos, make a sketch or whatever to assist you in getting in back together properly. Use a torque wrench (aluminum will strip easily) be certain not to over tighten the valve covers, too tight and you can deform them. Take your time, keep it neat and enjoy the process.
I hope this may have helped,
