SOURCE: Over heating

Check to see if your water pump is leaking radiator fluid through the weep holes, or maybe a wore out drive belt. good luck.

Coolant temp guage will not rise. heat blows cool.. when coolant guage does rise heat blows hot. doesnt always rise.what do i do or fix

Most likely, the engine thermostat is stuck open or missing. Changing the thermostat (or installing one) may solve your problem.

My car will not blow out any heat. I just changed the thermostat and put antifreeze in it. What do i do now?

History???? Auto or manual A/C? why was thermostat replaced? Did it have heat before? Was the coolant nasty, or clean? is the engine getting hot? Heater hoses hot to the touch? Could be a air door not operating, or heater core plugged.

The heaters are not blowing hot

Hi,

The first thing to check/replace here would be your thermostat. This controls the temperature of the water in the engine. If the heaters arent blowing hot then the thermostat may be stuck in the open position menaing the water is never heating up.

Have a google or consult your manual for how to access/change the thermostat

Thanks

Heater does not work

Check blend door motor for proper operation (vacuum operated) if necessary, detach arm from heater box and move by hand. If you have heat then, change motor! You are reaching operating temp for engine, right? If not, thermostat is stuck open... Change.

Heater system not putting out hot air

with the engine idling you water temp might not get hot enough to open your thermostat that lets hot water go through your heater core. I would first have the easiest thing changed. the thermostat could be you main problem.I hope this helps you.
