Question about 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix

Open Question

I have code p0758 solenoid circuit b electrical

I have a 2002 Pontiac grand prix. once we started it up it was lacking pickup when starting off. Once it gets up to about 15-20 mph it drove fine. It made no noises or anything else. I checked the codes when i got home and it is showing,P0758 ( which is the Shift Solenoid B Electrical. Do the solenoids need to be changed out, or is there a quick fix for it?

2002 Grand Prix, very hard to get started. When it does start air coming back through the raidiotor (apparently) cause the fluid in the over-flow tank to bubble dramatically. This all started yesterday,...

it looks like coolant has been lost and possible the system needs to be bled of air. the bubbling is air returning to the header tank. ensure the system is topped up to the correct level before starting the engine. Ensure that coolant has not got into the ignition system which may be reason why it is hard to start. if so use and water replelent spray to get rid of it and better electrical connnection. Once started check the coolent level and see if it is going down if so let the engine run for a while and then switch off. if needed top up the coolant level futher but only when the engine has cooled. Once this is resovled take the car for a good drive to help heat from the engine to dry out any water that might still be in there.

Drive cycle for 2002 grand prix

To get all the monitor ready you are a 2 trip. What this mean the vehicle must see a cold start up then approach 210 F. with a drive cycle at part throttle at 40 mph. and a decel for 2 minutes without stepping on the brake. Then is must see another cold start up and warm up twice.
