Engine size or serial number which one? size is normally located on the emisions tag under the hood..engine numbers(serial code) is cast into the block on a small flat spot near the drivers side front(on v-6 and v-8) normally..not shifting how exactly at the gearshift, while in motion,which one..sorry have to ask..if not going into gear for the automatic vehicle check the fliud levels with a distick found under the hood usually has a red or brown cap on it and itts normally a long stick( unless front wheel drive then its usually down behind the radiator on the lower drivers side of the transmission..a t stick like my dodge has...ifno fluids are seen on the stick it will not move because it needs fille to level first..once thats done it should go unless other issues are present...good luck...
