Try this. It has worked with me for the longest. Disconnect the Battery for about 10 minutes, then reconnect. The fault light should restet. If not, Go back to Autozone and have them reset for you.

Turn the ignition key to the run position for 30 seconds and then off for 5 seconds and turn it on to the run position again for 10 seconds and then start the engine. This will pressurize the fuel system and warm up the MAF sensor to burn off any dirt and frost on the filament, you should not have to press on the gas peddle, the Idle air control valve should do that for you. Check the transmission fluid level. If this is ok, then the fluid and filter will probably need to be changed. DO NOT use the transmission flush at a quick lube. They do not change the filter. A transmission also has a pump to circulate the fluid that can go bad, but I think a transmission fluid and filter change will solve your problem.
