SOURCE: vauxhall astra fuel gauge problem

Hi,

You appear to have an earth fault, possibly in the circuit for the interior light or the dash. Find any wires within these circuits which are screwed to the chasis , unscrew them and clean the metal work underneath and the lug with emmery cloth or sand paper.

Do you feel any resistance when you pull the lever? If not, your cable is diconnected, probably behind the lever. If you feel resistance, your latch may not be functioning... may have to manually release through front grille.

Vauxhall zafira 05 plate Starts drives for a few miles cuts out won't restart for an hr spanner light on dash fuel filter fine.there's a winning noise by the abs servo on test no faults found.

Could be several things. Start by hooking up a fuel pressure test gauge you can see while driving. If pressure drops just as car dies, may be bad pump that fails as it gets hot. Could also be any electrical sensor (crank position, ignition module, etc) that fails as it heats up but works again after it cools enough. When failng, do you still have spark?

My vauxhall zafira takes ages to start in morning but once started, starts first time all day till next morning same again

when this happens check to see if you have spark if so this may be a fuel pump problem, check fuel pressure and volume. what happens is if the brushes in the pump are worn and the car sits long enough the brushes will stick causing a higher resistance not allowing the pump to run.

Vauxhall fault b1385/00

Oil level lamp circuit open very rare code. that is.
the FSM book will show this more accurate.
or have you mech. scan the car and tell you what it means.
are you sure B is a P?
P would be
Knock Sensor 4 Circuit all the above is using google searches, (poor way)
ony the FSM gets factory codes right.
we dont have Vauxhalls here, so our fabulists, alldata.com dont work.

Misfire cylinder 2 vauxhall zafira

Check for spark on cyl 2. Auto parts stores sell a spark tester. th?id=hn.608054987065067225&pid=15.1&h=205&w=160
Unplug the wire from the sparkplug, insert the tester into the wire, clamp onto metal somewhere nearby. Then, have someone crank the engine. You should see a spark. If not, then your ignition wire or coilpack is bad. If there is spark, check the fuel pressure with a tester, fuel injector by checking ohms on injector tabs, and then compression with a compression tester.
