SOURCE: XG350 2003 throttle problem

cars these day are all electronic
the exhilarate in your car is electronic the older cars used to have a cable that ran to the motor now they dont
these days the exhilarate is like a volume knob on a cd player, it tells the car to produce more power on not to.
it sends the message to the throttle body
the throttle body is in charge of mixing the air to fuel ratio more fuel more power your emmissions system is the exhaust system
all of this could be linked to the throttle body being damaged
if you want to know more just ask
hope it helps

The "engine power reduced " light came on on my 2008 cadillac sts. What is going on?

Sounds like a speed sensor problem. Perform an OBDII scan to check for stored fault history.

Where is the obd2 connector location on holden ra rodeo v6

Connect white (test lead) and black (ground lead) wires that are branched from harness approximately eight inches from ECM. After leads are grounded, the "Check Engine" light will flash the diagnostic trouble codes. The DTC's are indicated by the flashing CEL.
FLASH, FLASH, pause, FLASH, FLASH, FLASH = Code 23.
If only one diagnostic trouble code is stored, the DTC will repeat continuously until test leads are disconnected. If more than one diagnostic trouble code is stored, each DTC will repeat three times, starting with the lowest, then proceed to the next DTC. After all DTC's have been displayed, the pattern will repeat.I-MARK 84-85
Connect male and female test leads taped into wire harness near ECM. After leads are connected, the "Check Engine" lamp will flash the trouble codes.
After all DTC's have been displayed, the pattern will repeat.
86-87 Impulse located near the ECM connector, is used to actuate the Engine Control Module (ECM) trouble code memory within the module. Two terminals (A and C) of this connector are used to activate the diagnostic trouble code system in the ECM. With the ignition switch turned On, engine Off, connect a jumper wire between terminals A and C. The "Check Engine" lamp will begin by flashing a DTC 12. DTC 12 = flash, pause, flash, flash. There will be a longer pause and a code 12 will repeat two more times. This code indicates the self-diagnostic system is operating. The cycle will then repeat until the engine is started or the ignition is switched Off. In most cases, DTC's will be checked with the engine running since no DTC's other than DTC 12 or 51 will be present without the engine running. Remove jumper wire from ALDL connector before starting engine. Reconnect jumper wire after engine is running.

Throttle Body Fuel Injection

The ECM test connection is located under the center console.
A built-in, self diagnostic system will identify problems in the throttle body fuel injection system. When a problem is detected, the diagnostic system will illuminate the "Check Engine" light.
When the engine is started, the Check Engine light should turn off.. If the light remains lit, the self diagnostic has detected a problem. To determine where the problem exists, ground the "Test" terminal of the connector with the ignition On, engine Off and watch the check engine light. Each DTC will flash three times (lowest to highest).

1998 chevy k1500 runs rough no power untill it warms up

This could be due to any or all of the three sensors going bad: oxygen sensor, throttle position sensor or the MAF sensor. Connect the diagnostic tool if the check engine light is ON to find out the codes, as this would narrow down your problem.

The following diagnostic codes P2104, P2111, and P2112 the engine failure mode appears car wont move turn it off and on again and its fine with just the check engine light Happens several timesaday now

all the codes point to throttle body. clean throttle body, especially around throttle plate. check for loose wires, if problems persist. replace throttle body. p2104 is tac system forced idle, p2111 is tac system stuck open, p2112 is tac system stuck closed. clean throttle body good, and see if this fixes it. then go from there. have a good day !!

Did the 'Check Engine' Light come ON? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on. You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE and perhaps eventually fix the problem.
NOTE: Commonly, the throttle position sensor (TPS)can cause the symptom you describe without turning on the CHECK ENGINE light. The TPS is a simple dash-pot (potentiometer) which can develop problems with age/time. Recommend you find a mechanic/ electrician who knows how to test it for bad spots -- if they find any, replace it.

Jolting and throttle problems

what size engine? 2.4?... 2.7?... 3.5? each one has a different fuel delivery system. Was there a Check Engine Light when this happens? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' (Service Engine Soon) light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.

As for the limp mode unless you have an expensive diagnostic system this usually has to be done by BMW (anything to get ya to a dealership!!). The comms problem, is the key turned in the ignition?

Check Engine light? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what it/they is/are, then perhaps we can help you. The throttle body is probably NOT the cause. Perhaps the throttle position sensor, or the Mass Air Flow Sensor, or perhaps a vacuum leak, OR, perhaps ignition wires or plugs or something else entirely. Best solution: take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).

What causes the signal "Check Engine

The "Check Engine" light, if that's what you're referring to, should only illuminate if the ECU detects an engine or trans problem. When you first turn the key on, the light will illuminate, because the ECU runs a preliminary test on its systems. It should then go out . If the light stays on, then you'll have to get the system scanned for diagnostics codes. Hope this helps.
