After i crank up the truck it drives perfect but when it turns off it wont crank for a few hours.

If it does not turn over hot i would first chack the battery cables see if one is loose. Then i would look at the starter. First disconect the battery, Then under the drivers side by the left tire you will see the starter,,, disconect the 2 wires going to it then remove the 2 15 mm bolts holding it to the transmission to remove. I would take it to a auto parts store to have teem bench test it. Go with the better starter if replacing it.
Let me know if i can help more!

Dead Battery

it could be the alternator. Still could be battery too... Get the vehicle running and disconect the posative cable from the battery. This takes the battery out of the system and allows the vehicle to run just from the alternator. The battery is really only used to protect from surges as idle increases and to start the engine. So if you disconect it and it stays running then chances are your battery is developing a bad cell in it and will need to be replaced.
