How many quarts of oil do I need to put in Toyota celica 1983, it's real low

Your 1983 Toyota Celica takes 4 quarts with new filter,Since your just adding,it depends what is showing on the dip stick, you say it's real low, which it probaly will take a least a quart, then add that and wait a few minutes to get to oil pan, then check dip stick twice and if still low, open another quart and add a fourth and check, add more if needed, then after you have drove, park, let sit, then check. If you add to much, there's a drain plug at oil pan underneath,You can go to Autozone and buy oil and ask if they will add, they will do it for free.

I have a very simple question. I have a 1990 Nissan Hardbody 5-speed and I need to know what kind of oil would be best to use. Like 10w-30, 10w-40, etc. Thanks for your time.

With any multi viscosity oils the first # represent the viscosity(thickness) at start up temp. The second # represents the viscosity at operating temp. The smaller the # the less the viscosity. So a 10w30 starts at a 10 weight and turns into a 30 weight. The 10w40 starts at a 10 weight and turns into a 40 weight. the w stand for winter. Most people use multi viscosity oils. While some don't likel them they opt to use a SAE30 (straight 30). It is 30 weight all the time. But in most areas in the U.S you should use a multi viscosity oil

Just bought the 1988 Toyota pickup and don't know what size engine in it. I need to change the oil and need to know what type.

If it's a 4 cylinder it's a 2.4 liter. If it's a 6 cylinder it's a 3.0 liter. The 2.4 liter engine comes with a carb, Fuel injection or even a turbo. Either way the 2.4 and the 3.0 take the same oil filter. The bosch is # 3330. I hope this helped and good luck.

I don't know what weight of oil my car takes. i have been putting 10w-30 in my 1991 toyota celica st and i wanted to know if that is right because i want to switch my oil to synthetic.

As old as this is, you can certainly use 20W50 and might derive some benefit (slight fuel savings from a touch better compression, maybe you're burning a little even if it doesn't show in the exhaust- how often do you add?, etc.) Full synthetic can give you even wider viscosity range for easy cold starts without loss of high-temp performance- I think Mobil 1 has a 5W50 grade even, which my old Honda did great with.

Oil

MOST LIKELY A 10W-30 MOTOR OIL. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT TOYOTA RECOMMENDS JUST CALL A TOYOTA DEALER AND TALK TO THE PARTS DEPARTMENT OR THEIR SERVICE WRITER THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT TOYOTA FACTORY RECOMMENDS.

2001 dodge caravan sport 3.3 need to know what weight oil it take

The correct oil weight is 5W20, but 5W30 can be used also. Be consistant when using oil, try to use the same brand and always use the same viscosity. This vehicle requires 4.5 liters of engine oil.
