Question about 2002 Dodge Stratus
I replaced the motor and regulator because it would roll down but not up, the new one does the same thing.
All that happens when switch for window is pushed one way , then the other is that the polarity gets reversed in the switch. So, when you check power getting to motor when switch pushed, you should get 12 v + to one wire going one way, up or down, then 12v+ to other wire when going the other way. If no power one way, check switch. ( Positive wire becomes ground when window going other way, and ground becomes positive.)

You need to replace the regulator inside the door. It's the little pulley system that will pull your window up and down when you push the button.
Takes about 20 minutes to fix, so you're looking at about 100.00 at the garage.

if a motor goes in one direction and not the other it is never the motor. chances are that it is the switch or wiring problems to the motor. it is common for the wiring to become broken in either drivers or passengers door jambs. it takes some knowlege in wiring to check the switches. good luck.
