Code 700 is a general fault with the transmission or trans control module.
Usually you get other codes in addition to 700 which would point to a specific problem.
Its possible the connection between the trans control module and the engine computer failed.

SOURCE: 95 dodge neon trouble code

On your 95 Neon, the code 11 is for a problem with the crankshaft position sensor. The crankshaft position sensor mounts to the engine block behind the generator, just above the oil filter.

misfire codes can be confusing.?only certain garages can read codes from 1999 year and above you may only have a fuel injector problem, such as fuel injectors trying to clog up. suggest you try adding lucas fuel injector cleaner 1st before you spend alot of money. just buy it at autozone or advanve auto for around $5.00 add to your fuel tank and drive the car for about 50miles,not all at once.just normal drive time like driving back and forth to work.after 50miles you do'nt see loss of power go away, you can also reset your cars computer as a last result. just disconnect the positive cable from your battery for 10minutes you've done the above.this will make the check engine light go off, does that help?the tune up may have not helped, but are you sure all the spark plugs were replaced? did you ask to see the old ones? sometimes, you have to go to the mechanic that you trust to do the job right. get my drift? not all mechanics are honest. your engine misfire may be due to alot of things, you can have it code read at a reputable garage for arund $75.00 but that only tells you where to look for problem. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

Rough idle on 2002 Dodge Neon

Without trouble codes you are fishing in the dark. If the engine has a cylinder that is dead at idle from a fuel injector or ignition problem, it should have a code for a miss on that cylinder. A mechanical problem like a burned valve could cause the problem without setting a code. Have you checked compression on all 4 cylinders ? ?

I have missfire in #4 cylinder 2000 doge neon

I'm not sure that is a valid trouble code for your car. The code for Dodge is for a wastegate solenoid which is normally used on turbo engines.
The miss could be ignition, fuel, or something mechanical.

Why does my 2000 dodge neon violently **** when i'm in passing gear

If the car is not getting into passing gear at all, check the kickdown cable from the throttle body to the transmission, to see if it's broken or binding. Also check the throttle body itself for smooth operation.

If those are okay, then check the throttle position sensor for proper output voltage. That should have thrown error code 24 if it failed.

As you pointed out, your engine has a rev limiter to prevent engine overspeed. As you approach redline rpm's, it will cut the fuel supply. If this is happening at lower rpm's than it should, then the limiter itself could be in trouble.

I hope this helps.
