Problem with new acelrator sensor

Just got new acelrator put in and the car starts but not rpms and when gas peddle is pushed nothing happens.

Sounds like someone forgot to hook the throttle cable back up

Next time this happens reach down behind the intake manifold and give the starter a wack with a wrench..It might be on the way out......

Look for a dislodged or cracked vacuum tube. What you have done should not be able to cause what is happening. Exhaust is hot, the cylinder burn temps are around 2000 to 2500 degrees F.

I bet you have inadvertantly created an intake leak.

Fuel delivery problem


you should also start by draining the old fuel if the car has been sitting that long because the fuel does go off and will allow car to start but not praform

Engine Turns Off when running AC


Your throttle speed sensor(idle speed sensor)is not working properly.It's job is to keep the the engine at the proper rpm range when you are not applying the gas peddle.This is the most likely cause.
