Power steering noise is typically a moaning/whining sound. does the noise change with RPM?

Check the fluid level. If its low make sure you use "honda approved" power steering fluid. It is available at any parts store.

If the fluid is fine and your sure its the P/S pump than you can try having the power steering system flushed. Many times this will solve P/S noise issues.

Power steering reservour may have plugged screen. Fluid flows better when warmer weather thus, no noise of starving power steering. Have a look at this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QjBLYltLYY

Beeping noise under hood after shutting off engine, sounds like it may be near the drivers side front tire

Did you get an answer to this question? Our 2014 Equinox is "beeping" from under the hood after shutting it off. Also seems to have started only during COLD weather. No it doesn't have anything to do with steering or suspension components. It is an audible beep noise or chirp noise. Thanks in advance.

Have a 2002 Hyundai Elantra that makes creaking noise in stearing wheel , not so much when cold but definitely when it is hot

Sometimes the boot or the rubber at the base of the steering column will make that type of noise. To help eliminate it, rule it out or identify it spray some silicone spray on both sides of the boot/rubber inside and outside.

My car is making whinning high pitch sounds when im driving then it will stop and eventually come back, is it the power stearing pump or the power stearing hose leaking

You most likely have a leak. You shouldn't ever have to add power steering fluid. It is best to get it checked out and repaired while the leak is small. If you wait, the leak will get worse and the oil gets dumped on hoses, belts, wiring harnesses, computer sensors, etc. and can cause severe damage to all of these items, as well as rubber engine mounts and suspension parts. To properly maintain your vehicle, NO fluid leak should EVER be "tolerated". Fluid leaks (of all types) are the leading cause of sending cars to the scrap yard way before their time.

Weather dropped to around 20 degrees F, the washer fluid is empty. the car is off, key out of the ignition, but there is a steady humming noise coming from under the hood.

Hi there is a very small fuel powered webasto heater under the bonnet that could be making the noise that is circulating and heating the engine coolant to ensure a first time start and quick interior heater response this will operate at a pre set minimum temperature or you can set it to come on
at a higher temp if you like your heater toasty on a not so cold day
however this does run off the fuel in your tank

With the engine on, hood is up, i have someone turn the stearing wheel, that turns the "long rod" that runs from the stearing to a location just under where the power stearing fluid is added, ...

the ball joints that allow the rod (this part is called a "drag link") to move and steer the wheels is worn out, have all the steering joints checked, anyone of them can make thios type of noise
