yes, I just lightly tap on the turn signal handle to turn them off. Then, a few minutes later they come on again. I'm driving on smooth pavement.

you might need a new switch for them, but i have no idea where that would be on it,best ask an auto parts store or get the haynes repair manual for it at an auto parts store or on ebay,it has everything you need to know to do your own work on that vehichle

Where can I find a 2005 jeep wrangler highbeam sensor switch?

What you need is a headlight switch and you can get them at just about any auto parts store.

No highbeam

Is the headlight out?
Did you check the connections/wiring to the headlight bulb?
Did you check the fuse?

Is it just one highbeam?
Or are both highbeams on both sides of the car out?

Headlights go out

If your Highbeam Switch is on your streering colum (turn signal lever) Thats where I would start too look! It could be the wires to the highbeam switch. I had that happen on my ford. But if the highbeam switch is on the floor, check for a bad circut connection and if that checks ok it might be your main headlight switch! Even though you may not loose your highbeams, your main headlight power still runs through that highbeam switch, and being on the colum thats why the would start to function when you move the shifter.

This is the daylight sentinnel feature. When the bcm triggers a low light scenario, it will try to compensate by itself with the auto lights. They should turn off automaticly by themselves after a few.Hope I could help....

No headlamps on 97 Mountaineer.

Buy 1 bulb and insert in each socket one at a time. If the low beam does not work on either side you know it is not because of the bulb. Then you will have 1 extra bulb for emergencies. Ask at autoparts about a headlight relay for lowbeam. When you wrote that highbeams work on pullback you did not say if they stay on high. You have "Flash to Pass" for highbeam which can be a different circuit. The automatic headlight switch is yet another set of contacts to go bad. You should set "auto" to off so you are not fighting this feature when testing. Good Luck
