Question about 2006 Dodge Durango
All the guages, warning lights, gear selection and mileage work. I have checked all the fuses inside and under the hood. Its just the back light for the speedometer, tach and gas guages. I have pulled it out and seems to be a LED type panel that goes behind the gauages. I checked the connection and reset everything, no luck! Does anyone else had this happen? Do I need a complete new cluster??

These vans are common for having cracked circuit boards in the Instrument cluster. You need to replace the circuit board. Try smacking the end of the dash and see if the gauges start working again.

disconnect the battery to let the body computer reset.
had the same problem with mine when my son left center interior light on . it ran down the battery and the security system made the head light start flashing . when i jump started it i had no instrument panel lights . i disconnected the battery and it fixed the problem.

You may be dealing with the bad-ground syndrome that was common back then. These grounds were commonly placed at various points on the firewall panel and may be corroded due to water infiltration. Repair is done by removing the connections (after removing the battery ground connection), cleaning the parts and terminals, covering everything with a light grease coating, and re-assembling. Good luck!

tach is most likely a cam sensor, hvac could be a bad vacuum problem (bad hose ) the electrical (dash stuff) I would start looking for a loose or bad ground wire or dirty battery terminals
