What can the fault be if there comes a black smoke out of the exhaust of your 2008 1.4tdci ford ikon

Hi, depends what colour black smoke, is it bluey black, grey black, whitey black, You may have to take it to a Diesel fuel shop, It may be the timing on the engine or the injector pump, (the pump may need to be timed to the engine, also the Injector pump also may need calibrating.) To calibrate pump you need to take it to a Diesel Fuel Workshop. Due to wear and conditions the injectore nozzles, injector pump, timing and performance of the engine will change over time.

Is there a mechanical problem with my 98 Ford falcon when accelerator pedal is flat to floor and when you release accelerator a puff of black smoke comes from exhaust

Probably not a problem as black smoke is a sign that too much fuel went into the engine. This is especially true when engine is cold and in choke or "cold start sequence".

320d bmw - dde light on, black smoke from exhaust. is it safe to continue driving

Why is it you guys are not letting us know your names lately? The DDE warning light is related to the Digital Diesel Electronic injection system, hence the black smoke, as the management system is injecting too much fuel into the combustion chambers. Take the vehicle for a digital diagnostic scan. Safer to find out the actual problem before continuing with it on the road. Regards John

Black smoke, no power

Black smokr on a diesel indicates a fuel delivery issue. First thing to do is change the fuel filter. If that doesn't solve the problem you probably have an injector issue. This should be checked out by qualified diesel mechance as he has the proper equipment to do all testing needed to track down problem

How much should my Ford ranger 2.5td be smoking,is it normal for diesel engens to smoke.

Sometimes diesel engines will put out black smoke under extreme acceleration. Other than that, they shouldn't smoke. Black is excess fuel, White smoke is water and bluish is oil. White smoke on a cool morning is not necessarily a sign of a problem unless it happens every time you start it through a warm day. Hope this helps.
