Lights and central locking fault

Hi, one minuet the lights and central locking are working on my ford escort then they went. I have interior lights and indicators so it's probably not the stalk. I've also changed all fuses. Any ideas?

This is a similar problem to the one i had, it sounds like the fuse box may be breaking down one by one, usually means a replacement fuse box

Radio, Brake Light, Interior lights, And Wont Shift Out Of Park.

This problem sounds like you dislodged the switch on the brake pedal lever. You need the signal to unlock the vehicle from Park. You will probably find that the Brake lights do not work when you press the brake pedal.

Now if the switch is good, you probably broke the fuse feeding power to the switch. You can get a wiring diagram online by running a Websearch or going to Autozone.com and registering your car. This site has a HELP section at the bottom of the page and you would need to toggle between free and pay info.

windows, interior lights work via central locking control unit. [situated under side panel in luggage compartment] check fuses for c/locking and check for water ingress at control unit.

most likely a multiplug has come loose on the fuse board ,or one of the big fuses near the battery has a dodgy connection
