Ok i don't know about much about cars but i know

sounds like the signal switch relay fuse. turn your signal on and check your fuse boxes... inside the car and under the hood. it will look like a little square box inside your fuse box next to your other fuses. with your signal on, you should be able to locate the relay because it will be making a clicking noise. pull it straight out and go get another one. hope this helps.

1995 GMC Suburban XLT 4x4 SLT. the top break light works but not the sides. Also the turn signals are not working. Have checked fuses and changes bulbs..What can this be

Turn signals are one of the easiest systems in your car to troubleshoot. Your signal flashers either work or they don't. If they don't, either you need to change the bulbs or you need to replace your turn signal relay. Know more about car diagnostic tools for automobile.

How do i fix my blinkers on my 1971 f100 ford ?

There is a flasher unit for the turn signals, separate from the hazard flasher, that is under the dash. If the fuse for the turns is good, and you already know the bulbs are good since the hazards work, then you may have a bad turn signal switch.
When you use the turn switch, do the bulbs come on and stay on, or nothing? If they come on and don't blink, then it's probably a bad turn flasher unit. If they don't come on at all, suspect a bad turn signal switch. But first check the fuses, then pull off the connector to the turn switch and see if you have one hot wire there, with key on. That one hot wire will be from the fuse.

The signal lights or emergency lights do light up when turning on!!!

Without knowing the year/make/model, and without an owners manual, I can't really tell you which fuse. Check in your owners manual to see which fuse is for your 4-ways/hazard lights and turn signals. If you don't have the owners manual, check inside the cover of the fuse boxes as many cars will list what fuse is for what feature

Which relay are you referring to?

If you don't know, we don't

We guess at most things,
if the question has something to go by !

Turn signals on both sides, all four corners?

Did you check fuses?

Did you do anything?

Have a shop check it out?

Turn signals wont work

This problem usually is either the relay, fuse, or bulbs. To know if it is/isn't the relay, with the car on, turn on the turn signal and listen for clicking. If you hear it, then the relay is working. If you don't hear it, then the relay needs to be replaced. Very rarely the wiring is the cause. To test the wiring, get access to the fuse box for the turn signals. Grab a multimeter, take out the fuse, then insert leads into the opposing slots. Turn the meter on to DC voltage mode, then turn on the car and flick the turn signal on. You should see spikes whenever the turn signal turns on. If you don't see spikes, then the wiring or the bulbs is dead. Replace all the bulbs, then run the test again and if the meter still doesn't spike, then you need to check all the wires for cracks or melting. If you have to replace wires, install the same gauge wire as was previously there. Use a wire stripper to get a good judge of the gauge.

My turning signal don't work but the flashers do work. I have changed all fuses and they still don't work.

since you know where the fuses are, you also know where the flashers are. the flashers are the same part so unplug the one for the emergency flasher and put it into the socket for the turn signals and vice versa. if the signals now work but not the emergency flasher you know to get a new flasher unit at any parts store. the flasher units are cubes about an inch on each side plugged into the fuse panel.

How to fix turn signal on 86 Chevy Astro Van

you don`t say but do the lights work either on the front/back on both sides.if not then it may be a fuse that needs replacing or need a bulb replacement.if the lights work but don`t flash then it sounds like a signal flasher problem.the flasher is located in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.if the hazard flashers work then turn them on to find the hazard flasher by the fuse panel then you will know what the signal flasher looks like and change the signal flasher.make sure you change the one for the signals and not the hazard one.if the hazards work then i would say the signal switch is good as the hazards work through the same switch.
