here is a picture of the door panel components:
those numbered 2 and 4 are screws 7 and 8 are plastic fasteners that should just pull out the door frame with an a little force outward on the plastic door panel.

If neither switch works it is a bad connection at the motor or bad ground or a bad motor. Remove the door panel unplug the motor push the switch and see if there is 12volts on the wires if there is the motor is bad There are small brushes in the motor that go bad tap on the motor while pushing the switch if it works that way replace it

Check the fuses first. If that dont work take the door apart the wiers have problably lost the connection due to kids and chocolate.
Gotta love them tho.

To removethe cover, pull the retaining clips loose on each side and lift the cover fromthe panel. Replacing a Fuse Locatethe fuse you believe is burned out by its label or use the owner's manual as aguide. To remove the fuse, you may need needle-nose pliers; don't put too muchpressure on the fuse or you could crack the casing. Examine the thin metalstrip between the two terminals.
