Question about 2006 Jeep Liberty
The Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor is located on top of the cylinder head, right side, about 2/3 of the way back. there is one screw holding it in. You will need to take off the plastic engine cover off to access it. The sensor in the airbox is the MAF sensor.

Most likely found on the firewall. If you have the new one already it will help because then you know what it looks like. Usually a 3" x 2" black object with a wiring harness and vacuum line attached. It does make me wonder how you checked it without seeing it???
