Question about 1995 Subaru Impreza
Knock sensor.move it off the block up to a bolt hole by the engine numbers!!that should stop the miss.it did on mine.if you pull away normal its fine but if you nail it it miss fires?if yes!!then move the knock sensor.

Sounds like the TPS (throttle position sensor) at the throttle body there is a black box on the opposite side to the cable mech, looking at it from front of car place a multimeter into where the 4 wires enter. between pin 1 (nearest to you) and pin 2 when the throttle is closed (no foot on the gas) it should read 5volts if not losen the 2 screws that lock it (this requires a very long screwdriver) and twist it until it reads 5v.
