Re: I punched in the wrong radio code too many times
Well the easist way to get this problem fixed is call the dealership parts department they can tell you what you can do to resolve it. And if your really daring they will fix it right on the service drive because they want your patronage they should do it for free

P1520 Generator Front Terminal Malfunction is what that code means. you need to fix that issue as clearing the code and not fixing it will just cause the check engine light to keep coming on.
i would suggest unhooking the battery. cleaning the terminals and hooking the battery up again... if you have an antitheft radio make sure you know the code and how to enter it before you unhook the battery.
Is the problem that you did not put in the code soon enough, or that you tried three wrong codes and locked it out? I don't think there is a time limit, but all of us have punched in wrong codes and locked out our radios before. If the display says WAIT, you tried three wrong codes.
If it is locked out, you have to drive for an hour with the radio turned on before it will let you try again. If you disconnect the battery during that hour, you just reset the 1-hour timer back to zero so you have to wait longer.
unhooking your battery is not good on your computer mostly bmw because of all the components in your system are computer control so unhooking your battery is not a good idea..anyways you might check your owners manual it should have code..
