Question about 1998 Pontiac Sunfire
Was driving down the highway when car cut off all of a sudden. tried to restart but would not. put in a crank sensor, and fuel filter, plus wires and plugs. tries to start but want. when fuel fuse is taken out it will crank for a few seconds and then quit. its a 1998 pontiac sunfire with a 2.2 motor.
This is Caused by the Fuel Pump. If you remove the Fuel Pump relay and it will try to Crank, You have a Bad Fuel Pump. I do Believe that the Fuel Pump is located inside the Fuel Tank on the Sunfire. Not an easy Repair But, Necessary
