Either you have a short in your headlight swich, your wiring, or your voltage regulator has had it. Nothing to mess with. Get it checked out.

Dash lights flickering can be caused by a bad ground and loose connection, clean up the posts on the battery. I had this same thing and that fixed it.

I have a 2000 Saturn LS2 that has flashing dash lights, i.e. warning lights, etc., when I start car. All the dash lights flicker and the gauges drop to zero. What is wrong?

same problem here as well. I'm going to try and replace the ignition cylinder. Does yours start? Mine starts, but can't get out of park unless I move key to run (put in neutral) and start again, Issue dash is going crazy and running light are flickering. I noticed yesterday that the turn signal lever is hot, so it might be some short in the steering column

97 Saab 900s. my dash gauge lights and gauges would flicker and not work randomly for a while and now they dont work at all. The other lights on the dash work fine and the car works fine. just the gas...

Try to tightin up the light bulb. be aware the only way to do this is to remove the hole dash. if you do not know how to do this i would recamend you take it to a shop are ask me to go through step by step directions.

I have a 2001 Nissan Xterra and the light flicker and abs light flickers when i hit bumps in the road what could be the problem?

It sounds like a loose ground wire, which one, I can't tell you. If its in the dash, there are ground wires connected to the car frame. You probably find it by looking under the drivers dash. It will be a wire connected to the frame by a screw or nut. Just tighten it up, and should solve the problem. also check the power plug to the gauges and make sure its tight. Best I can do.

My dashboard and gauges keep flickering on and off

sound like you have a lose connection it could be the cables on to the dash or the socket it fits to. you would need to remove the dash and clean the connection and re fit it. if you push on the dash does it stop. ? just check this first as some times its just a tiny amount of play in the connections that's the problem .

Dash lights flickered then van dies. Has new

possible crank position sensor fault .It's also likely that some of the dash gauges work intermittantly, or not at all.

All the power cuts out and the car dies. Prior to this all the gauges will flicker and lights on the dash will go off.

It is very likely that there may be a short in the dimmer switch. Play with switch to see if it cuts on or off. If it does, than the switch will need to be replaced. If not, I would trace the wiring even pulling instrument panel and check all the wiring.

The lights on my dash board flicker on and off then turn off.

I had the same problem some time ago, lights would go on and off, odometer appeared to stop counting at times rpm gauge would work and then not... power steering would off and on work and head lights would blink on and off when in driving light mode (off position).. The fix for me was I had to have the dash computer replaced (about $500). After doing this around 50k miles ago all the gremlins seem to have remained gone.. Hope this helps
