Could be your cooling fan relar, your engine temperature sensor, or it's meant to be that way. How long has this been going on. Engine may be running hot and takes this long to cool down.

Cooling fan won't shut off.

If an engine is hot, the cooling fan will continue to run even after the engine has been turned off.
If the fan runs when the engine is cold, you probably have a temperature sensor issue.

Car runs hot after being driven for awhile while sitting idle but only after it has been turned off then turned back on shortly after driving.

Have you checked your engine coolant level? It may be as simple as that, or it could be more complicated. Have you changed your serpentine belt recently? Is/are the radiator cooling fan(s) coming on when the engine heats up? If engine is hot and you turn it off, do the radiator cooling fans continue to run for a period of time? 2002 Suburban_ Engine off but air stays on. When engine is on a/c light stays on & ait stays on even if the fan is turned off

Fan will run for a certain period of time after shutting down motor of vehicle. This is normal. Your engine is still hot when you turn the key off. There are sensors that tell the computer when the engine is cool enough for the fans to shut off.

Fan starts to blow after turning off engine, for one minute

if you were in slow driving the car would heat up and it had no cold air to cool it like on open road ,, the cooling fan would cut in even after turning off the key... very normal in modern cars ,,,,

Air conditioner fan runs all the time. Turn on key the fan starts. Car is not hot, has been sitting overnight Question how to turn off so it only works with the AC

I would suspect a stuck cooling fan relay. Your going to have to locate the malfunction to get the operation that you seek. Reference owners manual for lcoation of the cooling fan relay and try switching it out.

Cooling fan control when driving on X-way and then exiting to a stop light the temp does not show high but with steam coming out from under the hood it must be hot. The fan(s) never come on. At what point...

you can disconnect the fan(s) and run 12 volts directly to the fans to see if they are need to check the following parts: there should be a fuse panel located inside the engine compartment...check the cooling fan fuses, the cooling fan relay, and possibly the cooling fan sensor located on the engine

My cooling fan on right side of my radiator runs all the time even when the car is off

problem sounds like either the thermoswitch in the radiator or the cooling fan relay under the dash... test by removing wires from thermoswitch and test for continuity at the terminals with a meter (radiator cold)... if you have continuity the switch is bad... if not it's the relay (fused closed... replace it)... Hope this helps...;-)
