You can take a obd2 code scanner to have a check, it will tell you what problem cause the lights on.

On top of the cover of the fuses it will tell you what that fuse was for. Odds are whatever it is, is shorting out and will need to be replaced.

Sorry no relay , check the wiring diagram ! Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on lighting , then under subsystem click on headlamps . Click the blue search button an two links will pop up . click on them one at a time > check the 30amp fuse # 10 in the under hood fuse block . Also check the 15amp fuse #16 in the central junction box ( inside fuse panel ) .Two more fuse's in the under hood fuse box #9 & #11 both 10amp . If the fuse are alright could be the headlamp main switch or the dimmer switch . Testing with a volt meter would be the most 1 appropriate way to test . Follow the wiring diagram from fuse to switches checking for B+ voltage into the switches an out of the switches . There are videos on youtube for basic automotive electrical testing .

I need help locating the headlight relay under the hood? fuses good, everything works except headlights?

No regular fuse for headlamps , fusible link .Do you know what a fusible link is ? There is a headlamp switch , dimmer switch , no relay . Go free wiring diagrams ! Check it out yourself , an check for B+ voltage with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter at the headlamp switch , if B+ voltage is present there check at dimmer switch . There are videos on youtube for basic automotive electrical testing . Do you know how to read a wiring diagram ? Videos on youtube for that as well .

97 gmc jimmy, need help locating the headlight relay under the hood? Fuses good, everything except headlights?

Excluding drl and fog lamps, there is no relay. The voltage to headlamp switch, hot all the time, I didn't check for fusible links? The voltage from headlamp switch goes to dimmer switch then to headlamps, at the headlamps check voltage and ground. My info showed sealed beam or quad lamps, I didn't look at both.

Have no power to anything. The low beam relay under the hood clicks and the relay 13 under the dash clicks really fast.

Check the battery voltage and battery cable connections. It should be at 12.4 ~ 12.6 volts DC. Turn on a loads (radio, fan, lights) it should drop a bit but stay above 10 volts. Learn how to check he battery and alternator with the videos below.

Toyota hiace lights wount come on

Check the dimmer switch! Head lights should still work if dimmer! But no interior dash lights! Fuse for lights is under hood in fuse center! If it is the headlights I would check the switch and if applicable the relay! I assume you have checked for ground at the light and power at the headlight fuses!! Good luck

I have no low beam headlights. already checked bulbs, fuses, relay and dimmer switch. can you help?

Before you replace the #46 HDM relay (in the fuse block under the hood) try exchanging it with the #45 cooling fan relay and see if your low beam lights work. If they do, the HDM relay (actually solid state module, not a relay) is bad.

Not sure about your car but on my KIA the dome and rear gate light have switches on the light assemblies themselves for on/off all time/on with door. Check to see if you have same. Also, there may be another "dash" switch, typically on the dash dimmer switch which may be turned all the way from dim to off. Check your dash dimmer switch. Relays are typically in a fuse box under the hood.

the fuse panel inside the car is under the dash on the driver`s side behind a cover,i think it will swing down if you release the catch, check all these fuses and the fuses under the hood in that big black box.make sure that you or someone has not moved the dimmer switch to the off position first.these do have a problem with the relay box going bad due to corrosion on the under side of the box.

Under the hood there is 2 relay's. One for each side. First check to see if there is power at the fuses. If yes then pull the relay's out and see if there is power all the time with the key on. Then see if there is power with the switch turned on. There should be 2 powers with the switch on. If only 1 power then the switch is bad. Let me know how it goes.

Bronco uses a RELAY switch under the hood. Is that what you replaced?

Swap it with the A/C RELAY switch (they are the same) to check it.
