Sounds like a fuel issue ,do you have a vaccuum leak in your fuel line, check all fuel lines and hoses for cracks holes or kinks,it has to be somewhere between your tank and the fuel injectors, also make sure the injector o rings are not damaged or you will loose alot of suction there, make sure they are all snapped tight down in to where they go,check your fuel filter it might need replacing or you could have a weak fuel pump,or clogged injectors,i know thats allot of stuff but you start with the easieast to do first to find your exact problem

Fuel Cut Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
An inoperative shutdown solenoid can cause a no-start condition. Disconnect solenoid harness connector and with ignition switch in the "ON"
position momentarily touch solenoid harness connector to solenoid connector. If a "click" sound is heard, the solenoid circuit is operating
properly. If "click" is not heard, the system should be diagnosed as follows:
1. With test lamp connected to ground and the ignition switch in the "ON" position, backprobe the shutdown harness connector. If the test lamp
does not light check for open circuit form the ignition switch to the solenoid.
2. If the test lamp lights, check the ground circuit between solenoid stud and injection pump cover to see if connectors are clean and tight. If the
connections are not clean and tight repair and retest.
3. If the ground circuit is "OK", remove the injection pump cover. Connect a jumper wire between solenoid ground connector and ground. With
the ignition switch in the "ON" position, momentarily touch shutdown solenoid harness connector to shutdown solenoid terminal. If solenoid
operates, check for internal injection pump problem.
4. If the solenoid will not operate, replace the shutdown solenoid.

Fuel Cut Solenoid: Service and Repair
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT:
1. Remove pump cover.
2. Terminal contact nuts.
3. Solenoid.
INSTALL OR CONNECT:
1. Solenoid in the pump cover.
- On the shutdown solenoid, make sure that the linkage is free.
- On the cold advance solenoid, make sure that the plunger is centered so that it will contact the check ball in the fitting.
2. Insulating washers on the terminal studs.
3. Terminal nuts and tighten to 1 Nm (9 in lbs).
4. Pump cover.
5. Inspect solenoid operation prior to installing the pump cover. Use a 12 volt DC power source.

My 1998 mitsubishi eclipse 2.0 non turbo oil pressure switch went bad after a month and ahalf. Of installing brand new one

Make the oil pressure is ok by removing the switch and screwing in a pressure gauge, start and check pressure . If OK check the switch for sludge or carbon in the oil hole, if free the switch is faulty . Buy A genuine one from Mitsubishi as some after market ones are rubbish.

Afraid you probably have engine issues. White smoke was water. clanking could have been apex seals. You need to have a compression test done.

165000 miles auto non turbo sitting 6 months plus starts fine, rough idle 1100 rpm sounds and feels like not firing on all six. does this car kill plugs easy?

It's been sitting for six months, plugs probably have corrosion or rust on them. That and your fuel is probably turned to soup. Put in new plugs and a really heavy duty fuel system cleaner. You might consider changing all filters too - especially fuel filter.

I have a 91 300zx non turbo won't start

Are you sure the new belt didn't jump time? How was the belt tensioner when you replaced yhe belt? Did your water pump leak onto or into your crank sensor? Are you sure you have proper fuel pressure? When you replaced the timing belt, did you make sure to find top dead center on cylinder 1 ? Just lining up the timing marks may not have worked if this is indeed what you did.If you had the crankshaft rotated 180 degrees, your motor would be trying to fire on the exhaust stroke, instead of the compression stroke. To find T.D.C. disconnect your battery, rotate your crankshaft until the piston that is marked #1 in your firing order is at the top of its stroke, this can be accomplished by carefully inserting a wooden or plastic dowel into the sparkplug hole of cylinder#1. The dowel will rise with the piston and at the point where it starts to fall will be T.D.C. Now your timing marks should line up,and you will then be on the compression stroke. good luck! hope this helps

its is a relay on the fire wall behind the black plastic shild on passanger side of fire wall under hood if relay is good the problem is most likley in the pump drainning back into tank not keeping prime and will need new fuelpump

I have found the most common part failure issue with the ignition system is the crank sensor, also called by some the TDC sensor.
