RE: 2002 Volks Jetta

If the circle is not continuous and has an arrowhead at the bottom, it has to do with the stability control system. See the link for a description and meaning. I recommend watching the short video near the bottom of the page.

What do E S P means?

In the automotive context (since you have posted in the Cars and Trucks Section) ...............
1. If you really mean EPS - that means electric power assisted steering. In other words an electric motor is used to provide steering assistance instead of the traditional hydraulic system with a power steering pump.

2. If you did mean ESP, in an automotive context that can be taken to be an abbreviation for Electronic Stability Program. Otherwise this is referred to a ESC, Electronic Stability Control.

What does it mean when the service stability system light comes on?

It means that your gonna have to take it to the dealer to get it checked .is this a Cadillac product. Stability is keeping the vehicle level at all times and the light is on because the computer either has to low voltage to operate correctly or to needs scanned to find out the real cause of why it came on.

My teenager is in my vehicle out of town. my 2007 suburban light came on and said. Stability System disabled. What does that mean? And will she be ok?

Means electric stabilization system is not working or light is giving false reading. Yes, she can drive it home carefully--slower--if roads are slippery. Take to dealer to check light.

Please tell me what this warning light means on my dash: ESC off.

This is the light that tells you that the Electronic Stability Control or ESC has been disabled. There should be a button in you vehicle that has a car and or some tire markings on it or it may just read ESC, and pressing it will turn it back on.
