Question about 2004 Chrysler Concorde
About a week ago, my car shimmied while trying to enter traffic and the engine light subsequently turned on. The next day, on my way to take the car to Ato Zone to check the code, the light disappeared. The next week was uneventful until last night where a bell went off and the engine light came on again. No mechanical issue until I stopped to pick up my son and tried to enter traffic again. This time the shaking became more violent and my rpm meter went haywire. I was able to get the car home without further incident. The local Chrysler dealership is unable to look at it until Tuesday! This is my sole source of transportation and I am afraid to chance driving it. I live about 25 miles from town where I could get it hooked up to obtain a code, but I am nervous I won't make it back and forth. ANy advice would be helpful.
Even though the light went out, there should still be a code stored in the computor.Without the code, or testing this and that to pin point the problem it's hard to say. I don't want to tell you replace this or that without knowing. It would be a waste of money for things you don't need. good luck.
